Community Partners offers a full Family Caregiver Support Program that offers the following services:
- Caregiver Consultation
- Service Coordination
- Respite Care
- Caregiver Support Groups
Linda Kinnunen is the Caregiver Consultant. She can provide Consultation and Service Coordination in person, in the home, over the phone and via email for Local Caregivers as well as Long Distance Caregivers who are concerned about their loved ones who live in the Two Harbors Area.
Respite Care is provided by trained volunteers who can stay with loved ones so that the family caregiver can take a break. There are other Respite Care Options Available – See FAQs
There are two “Caring and Sharing” Support Groups offered in the Two Harbors Area.
- One is held at the Lake View Hospital Atrium at 6:00 p.m. on the second monday of the month.
- A second “brownbag” group is held at noon at the AEOA Board Room on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
Support groups are confidential. A monetary contribution of your choice is requested, but not required.
Services are provided with support from a Family Caregiver Support Grant funded under the Older American’s Act via a grant from the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging in Duluth. Services are also provided by North Shore Area Partners in Silver Bay (218-226-3635).
